Methylene blue là gì
Xanh metylen là một muối clorua hữu cơ có công thức C16H18ClN3S. Nó còn được gọi là Methylthioninium chloride hoặc Swiss Blue.
Nó là một loại thuốc nhuộm thiazine có đặc tính chống oxy hóa, bảo vệ tim mạch, chống sốt rét và chống trầm cảm. Nó có thể hòa tan trong glycerol, nước, cloroform, axit axetic băng và etanol. Nó ít tan trong pyridin và không tan trong ete etylic, axit oleic và Xylen.
Hợp chất này lần đầu tiên được tổng hợp bởi Heinrich Caro vào năm 1876. Nó thu được dưới dạng bột hoặc tinh thể màu xanh lá cây đậm với ánh sáng giống như đồng. Khi hòa tan trong dung dịch cồn hoặc nước, nó sẽ có màu xanh lam đậm. Nó được sử dụng rộng rãi để điều trị mức methemoglobin lớn hơn 30%.
